‘Three dimensional structured tuck stitch’

Create stunning modulated waves of texture across your work. Using structured knitting techniques we will create three-dimensional surfaces altering the directional flow of your knitting.

In this class we will be working with 5mm needles, and DK yarn doubled to create a pair of wrist warmers. The pattern (designed for class) is for you to take home.

Please bring finer wool as well with needles to suit for sample pieces. You will have time to explore other surfaces from the design cards, copies of which you will take home.

We will work with the knitted mechanics of bubbles and folds within our stitches creating the modulating surfaces and the effect our background stitches have upon the visual modulations.
